11 weeks!!! Just about 5 more days until I announce the news to my family.
Our baby is no longer the size of a kumquat. Nope, our baby is now the size of a fig! Mmmm I love figs. I couldn't find a kumquat, by the way.... but I do miss our little kumquat!
On the 7th I saw my doctor. It was my first visit with my regular OB, Dr. Back, as I was seeing a different doctor previously. I was really excited to see my little turkey, but they don't do ultrasounds yet! Booo! And the doppler didn't pick up the heartbeat. I was obviously worried and sad. Another doctor was willing to do an ultrasound, tho. How nice! And I got a little peek at pookie... Soon as this other doctor pointed him out (him? idk) he kicked out all 4 limbs! The doctor said, "OH, HELLO!" And then he said, "Congratulations and Happy Mother's Day!" Happy Mother's Day? To me!? Whhhaaaat??? :-) That was the first time I met Dr. Siegal... I like Dr. Siegal!
Anyway, I was pretty sick the beginning of this week. The nausea has finally started to ease up, tho. BUT, I've got terrible allergies now and am all stuffed up. I made chicken soup. First meal I've managed to cook in 7 weeks. Go Me!
Keep lots of chicken soup in the freezer if you can so you can always go back to it when you need it.
