We had a fun week! We visited the Ajjan cousins in Franklin Lakes and had a deeeeeeeelicious meal. Aunt Mary Joan made mommy's favorite syrian meal!!! Mehshee. It's stuffed squash and peppers. And the stuffed zucchini is called Gooseb Leben (I made up that spelling). It's pretty much the same thing, just no tomatoes and it's eaten with yogurt and is equally delicious. I had seconds! Even daddy liked Mehshee! Then again, you give him anything with a tomato and he's likely to be content. Joey Mozzarella!
We have just been trying to enjoy the tail end of summer before the dreaded first day of school. I wanted to go see the Barnegat Light House, but Joe said, "You can't go there in your condition!" He said there are too many stairs. I want to go! So, we went to the mall instead and I got winded walking from Sears to Boscovs... maybe he's right?
Joe also enjoys "being a gentleman" and he opens the doors for me when we walk into buildings and when there are double doors he'll open both for me. I'M NOT THAT BIG, JERK!!!!! And the other day he pulled the snack tray away from me so I could get up and he pulled it back a little, stopped, and then pulled it back A LOT more... *sigh
Oh, something else I can share: We went out and met a bunch of Joe's coworkers. He decided to announce the pregnancy in person. His principal and vice principal both thought he was joking and walked away rolling their eyes. He had to tell them about 3 times before they believed him and congratulated us.
His V.P. said to me, "So, what's this tell you about Joe?" I told her he's the same wherever he goes!
One of his coworkers said something that I thought was so clever and funny. She said,
"Every man deserves a daughter."
Well, we are 26 weeks now.... this is the last week of the second trimester!
An eggplant! (This is the same one that Barrie got for us.... I just can't throw it out, or eat it.... my little eggplant! <3 )
I can't wait to hold her hand and kiss her toes...
